Ranthambore National Park is a tiger reserve where tigers rule. Its located in the state of Rajasthan, India, near the Sawai Madho Singh Fort. This National Park was first placed as Sawai Madhopur Game Sanctuary in 1955, blanketing over an area of 282 square kilometers. King Sawai Madho Singh handed over this area to the Indian government as a tiger reserve zone in the year 1973. The Vindhya and Aravalli mountain ranges, the Banas river in the north, and the Chambal River in the south encircles the Ranthambore tiger reserve park. The whole area is over 392 square kilometers as viewed from the walls of Sawai Madho Singh Fort.
