The World Health Organization has already announced an emergency. Presently, three cases also reported in India. In this post, let’s know what is Coronavirus? What are its Causes, Symptoms, Treatment, and also know how to prevent it?

What is Coronavirus?

2019-nCoV belongs to the same group of viruses that caused Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS-CoV outbreak in 2003) and Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus or camel flu (MERS-CoV outbreak in 2012) causing viral and severe respiratory infections in humans. Coronavirus (CoV) belongs to a family of viruses namely the Nidovirales order, which includes Coronaviridae, Arteriviridae, and Roniviridae, whose infection can cause problems ranging from a cold to breathlessness. It is a group of viruses that cause fatal diseases in mammals and birds. In humans, they cause respiratory illnesses including the common cold.

The coronavirus is named from a characteristic corona or crown of sugar proteins enveloping the particle. Further, they’re divided into four groups in the Coronavirinae family. They’re Alphacoronavirus, Betacoronavirus, Gammacoronavirus, and Deltacoronavirus. Alphacoronavirus, and Betacoronavirus, only infect mammals, Gammacoronavirus infects birds while Deltacoronavirus can infect them both. They develop through airborne droplets of fluid produced by infected people and its severance can be lethal. This virus was never been seen before and it rose in December in Wuhan, China.

1. Coronavirus Symptoms

According to WHO, because of the infection caused by a coronavirus, problems like fever, cold, difficulty in breathing, runny nose, and sore throat can arise. This can also transmit from person to person. No vaccine has been found to inhibit the virus from spreading and so, it’s a matter of high attention. The virus was first identified in Wuhan of China in December 2019 and now has reached other countries. The infected may have a variety of symptoms. Snakes assumed to be the possible reason for this outbreak, but some experts think it’s absurd and bat might also be its root. However, Health officers are trying to identify the root of the 2019-nCoV. A wet market (a place that sells dead and live animals in open) is believed to be the origin of 2019-nCoV just like the SARS-CoV outbreak in 2003.

2. Coronavirus Treatment and Prevention

Health authorities have begun clinical trials and are searching for ways to combat coronavirus infections. The best way to prevent infection is a precaution. The following guidelines have issued by the Ministry of Health to prevent coronavirus. According to them,
